Brett Winterford is a folk singer-songwriter from Sydney, Australia. Reinventing the modern day troubadour, Winterford has spent the last couple of years writing songs, travelling the globe and creating a groundbreaking path for folk music, performing unique concerts atop double-decker buses, on river barges, in ancient forts, bedrooms, corner pubs and cafes from Berlin to Brooklyn.

His long awaited solo debut, ‘ The Greenthumb EP’, is a set of six songs inspired by ‘Pan’ a famous Australian landscape painting by Sydney Long. The EP was recorded by Josh Schuberth and it features special guests Mr Percival, Ray Mann and Kent Eastwood. Coloured by nylon-string acoustics and mandolins, pianos and mellotron, shakers, timpani and tom drums, the recordings deal with the trials and triumphs of the troubadour, the reclaiming of imagination and appreciation for the natural world.

In recent years, Winterford has made Germany his second home. In the ‘land of poets and thinkers’, his songs have garnered over 300,000 views on YouTube and attracted a great number of fans. His 2012 tour featured over 55 performances across Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, the US, the UK and Australia, while in mid-2013 he scored a support tour performing in some of Europe’s biggest venues including London’s Union Chapel, Hamburg’s Markthalle and Cologne’s E-Werk.

His imaginative and poetic songwriting style has been chosen as the soundtrack for Tourism Australia’s National Landscape series, a set of short films showcasing the natural beauty of the Australian environment.

In 2009 Winterford and five of his closest friends established a series of fortnightly intimate concerts in Surry Hills, Sydney, called High Tea. As of July 2012, well over 6000 listeners have enjoyed these candlelit shows by the likes of Lanie Lane, Mr Percival and Tin Sparrow. Shows usually sell out in less than five minutes.

Every so often, over the dim roar of background noise, through the clutter of sound, a single sound rises above it all.

Having honed his skills busking in the streets of Sydney, Alex Gibson has such a sound. Compared to City & Colour's Dallas Green, he has a sound that is at once sweet and sultry, and absolutely heartfelt. Inspired by artists like Paul Simon, The Beatles, and Stevie Wonder, his music is extremely melodic, soulful and energetic.

In 2011, he went into the studio and recorded a live album with his band. After cutting his teeth opening for artists like The Black Sorrows, Mental As Anything and The Potbeleez, as well as playing countless shows of his own at events like Vivid and Market By Moonlight, or venues like The Brass Monkey and Lizotte's, he launched the album to acclaim at The Basement in August 2012. It reached number 2 on iTunes singer/songwriter charts.

More recently he has supported Deni Hines and Diesel.

Alex says " I love playing music. It is what I do. If I can help people and inspire them then I can be proud of what I have accomplished".

The JHD Revival Band (And Travelling Medicine Show) is a 6-piece blues-soul machine that can only be described as an experience.

Led by jazz-blues guitarist John Hardaker, these three guys and three ladies go for the genre-crossing jam-band thing inspired by bands of the past such as Delaney and Bonnie & Friends, and bands of today such as the Tedeschi-Trucks Band.

The Revival Band was formed out of John Hardaker’s various jazz and blues groups in 2010 when he met astonishing new blues vocal sensation Emily Benson. John felt he just had to build a band around Emily’s amazing voice so he formed the Revival Band – a blues band heavy on the soul and funk, that features some of Sydney’s hottest young jazz and soul musicians in its lineup.

The band has been wowing crowds throughout Sydney – notably at a number of shows at Surry Hills’ fabled house of soul, the MAC and a long-term residency at Darling Harbour’s TOKIO venue.

The JHD Revival Band are set to put out a limited release LIVE recording which is scheduled for mid-year.
