In a critically acclaimed 25+ year career, Nick Charles has released a dozen albums on the major Australian and US roots music labels including his latest, “Into the Blues” his first “pure” acoustic blues album in more than a decade.

“Into the Blues” has won “Album of the Year”, “Song of the Year” and contributed to his being named “Solo Performer of the Year” in the Australian blues scene in 2013, a year culminating in his 10th US tour.
Finally to top off a great year of plaudits, a track from “Into the Blues” called “Sunset Blues” won the Australian Song Competition!

Averaging 150 shows a year in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA, his music draws on the fingerstyle magic and lyrical charm of the great pre-war acoustic blues masters sometimes encompassing an eclectic mix of folk and early ragtime jazz.

Nick has performed and toured with a who’s who of the music world including Guy Clarke, John Hammond, Robyn Ford, Junior Wells, BB King, Ralph McTell and so many more.

With his trademark dazzling fingerpicking on 6 and 12 string guitars, stinging slide and a lifetime’s stories and songs from the musical highway it’s a show that sees him labelled by The Age as “Australia’s virtuoso of acoustic roots and blues” and by Australian Guitar magazine as “an awesome talent!” Rvr Rd

The “perect festival band”.(Blue Mountains Folk Festival, 2011)

"Fiddlers Feast keeps raising the bar - FRENZEE is another great release." (Raymond Phillips, Country Harvest)

"FRENZEE is brilliant!! It will be receiving a lot of airplay because it fits into so many categories - jazz, classical, easy listening, even folk. A track that stood out for me was 'Eine Kleine Nutmusik' - the treatment is superbly tongue in cheek and a sound for sore ears. (Bob Cady, Highland FM).

“I defy anyone to not like this CD. This beats the socks off the Sydney band's previous releases on all levels.” John Shand, SMH

“Great album, quite an eclectic mixture- looking forward to giving it some welly!" (Julie Cavanagh, The Folk Show).
