For decades Isaiah has been a top Aussie production guy and studio owner who's worked with Julio Iglesias orchestra, hosted the Goo Goo Dolls and rehearsed American Idol's Randy Jackson and his band for their Australian touring. Not only has Isaiah been behind the board for globally upper echelon bands, he's been a go-to sideman for bands touring down under like the time he hit the road in Sydney aiding Keanu Reeves band Dog Star.

All the while he was working with other people's music, Isaiah always knew where his heart lay. The same place it was when he first heard his father strum the ukulele, blow harmonica and unleash the lap steel.

Isaiah was the 2010 Sydney Blues Society Performer of the Year and some of you may have caught him at last year's IBC. Probably the best dressed cat in Memphis and good enough musically to be one of the very few to be reviewed in the Memphis Daily News.

After a couple of years playing together as a duo Mimosa began to crave for new musical company.

Their new found love 'Gypsy Jazz' is fantastic to play as a duo but traditionally it is played with a 5 piece band, so a 5 piece Gypsy Jazz band was the new goal. One sunny Sydney day Mimosa invited 3 of their musical friends around and had a Gypsy Jazz jam! It went fantastically well and from that day forth (the 22nd of Feb 2012 to be exact) they had a larger ensemble to perform with.

Since Mimosa's first ensemble jam they have played along side a number of talented Sydney jazz musicians. Their ensemble can range from 4 to 6 players with as many guitars as you would like and of course a violinist! They also can provide double bass, trumpet, saxophone and piano accordion. Morgan has also been able to unleash his vocal talents and if you are lucky he will sing a number or two.

The Mimosa Ensemble is often playing around Sydney so keep your ears peeled. If you wish to get in touch with them please visit their website's contact page and mention "The Band" in your email.
