Byron based singer-songwriter Karuah has never been short of stories to tell.
Three years of travel and fifteen years honing his craft laid a solid foundation for his recent release, Insight. Think soulful vocals, stacked harmonies and intricate guitar, woven together to make luscious soundscapes. Karuah's captivating live show is testament to his extensive experience as a performer. Recently, he's supported fellow folk musician Kyle Lionhart in a string of sold out shows up the east coat, and made appearances at Splendour In The Grass and South Coast Soul Festival.

Polka music is pumped up dance music, pre electronic rave music, and a universal party code.
The secret weapon of polka music is the piano accordion, the stomach Steinway, the devil's backpack! Mussolini played squeezebox polka and demanded his subjects dance to avoid the firing squad, Weird Al Yankovich reinvented the Rolling Stones through polka, and now Gleny Rae Virus has launched her Polka Party! Gleny Rae Virus has been a mainstay on the folk and country circuit since her days as a Toe Sucking Cowgirl in the early naughties. Her deep love for accordion music has lead to this pivotal moment, when polka music will be reborn. Polka Party draws on music from Mexico to mid-western America, the Balkans to Ireland, and of course the birthplace of polka, Germany. Gleny Rae Virus also adds some fiddle tunes and her original songs to the mix, along with a wild sequin outfit and plenty of cheeky humour! She will be joined by the Polka Cowboys Rob Luckey, Andrew Smith and Lachlan Dengate as they venture into polka medleys of classic songs. No song will be left unapolkerated!!! glenyrae.com |
