"She's known for having an extraordinarily rare voice" - CLARE BOWDITCH
The South Australian Award Winning Songwriter is one of those artists whose unique style cannot be put into a box. From big blues to soulful country, it is music that is real and raw and vulnerable. "it's just so much fun, that girls got amazing pipes, she sounds like Amy Winehouse - but with more of a soulful edge as opposed to a jazz hook" NKECHI ANELE - TRIPLE J ROOTS AND ALL Releasing her debut album in 2019, the Americana artist has had many a success including ABC radio rotation, #1 AMRAP radio charting and inclusion on hit country Spotify playlists. A keen traveller, her heavy touring schedule spent most of 2018-2020 on the road with country legend Beccy Cole collecting a legion of fans along the way, easily spotted by the "Brouhaha Brouhaha Brouhaha" catch-cry. Whether around a campfire, in RSL's or in the intimate setting of people's living rooms - this is an artist you simply need to hear. Her captivating live show will have you giggling one minute and in tears the next as she tells stories about her travels, her family and her much loved 1992 Toyota Hiace "Pamela Vanderson". "I really don't know if we have anyone similar in Australia, I am pretty sure that we don't. She has similar elements of other artists from overseas, and maybe a touch of Renee Geyer, but basically, she is a one-off. In a close tunnel genre in Australia, Kelly is Queen. She is a no-nonsense, firebrand" COWGIRL UP BLOG "Brouhaha has a gorgeous, powerful, dare-we-say Adele-esque voice, and her new song Don't Have To Write it Down is a fine vehicle for it" - RIP IT UP "Kelly Brouhaha wears many skins, and her Brouhaha outfit is a refreshing burst of acoustic folk. Filtering her glossy pipes through pure UV, Kelly Brouhaha's rhythmic guitars brilliantly shine beneath her cascading vocals. Brouhaha champions harmonies, and on her Don't Have To Write It Down album, she also champions the perfect glass half-full persona." - THE MUSIC "…Bright, bubbly and exploding with personality, Kelly Brouhaha is a charming and talented young lady, determined to bring a smile to the face of all who come into contact with her. And she's succeeding everystep of the way!" – FRINGE BENEFITS "…[her music] has the ability to lift you up and put you in a happy place" – MUSIC SA " laid back soulful start to uplifiting party finish Kelly's beautiful voice and bubbly personality helped take our event to the next level. She's a joy, we can't wait to work with her again!" - INTERWEAVE GRP "if the place isn't packed, this town needs to hang it's head in shame" - SCALA NEWS |
Wolf Mail's project 'Peter and the Wolf', recognises the beauty of contributions made by Peter Green to the musical world over the last 55 years. Green was perhaps Britain's most influential blues guitarist from his time in 1965 as lead guitar with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers when he replaced Eric Clapton.
No show about Peter Green would be complete without the cathartic "Man of the World" recorded in 1969 being a song about a man who can buy everything he needs, except the love he craves. Around this time, Green was taking amounts of hallucinogenic drugs. He wanted to give all the money away to charity but the others didn't agree. So he left the band he founded, Fleetwood Mac, in May 1970 and slid into decades of schizophrenia, obscurity, depression and psychiatric therapy. "A stellar performance, Mail literally transcends Peter Green, not to be missed!" "Raw and genuine and spontaneous, as close to the real thing as it gets" Sydney Morning Herald. After his Peter's death, Cat Stevens remarked "God bless the ineffable Peter Green, one of the unsung heroes of musical integrity, innovation and spirit. When I heard he left Fleetwood Mac in 1970 to get a real life and donate his wealth to charity, he became something of a model for me". "Wolf Mail is one of Australia's most talented blues & soul vocalists, an outstanding talent like no other!" Glenn A Baker "Voted one of Japan's top 10 contemporary blues guitarists among Dan Auerbach, Gary Clark Jnr & Derek Trucks" Player 2013 |
