Carlotta comes to Fig with her new album recorded in Rome with her Italian band in November 2021. The album is called “Speak Love – Parla D’Amore”. It is a collection of her favourite jazz Standards, Bossanova tunes, and Italian classics which illustrates her love and passion for Jazz and Latin music. The album is now available online on Bandcamp.com and at Birdland record Shops in Sydney.
Carlotta is an Italian singer, songwriter, and recording artist from Rome, now living in Sydney. She is the granddaughter of Armandino Zingone who played with the legendary Renato Carosone in La Dolce Vita – the golden age of Italian music. Her music builds on her heritage and is influenced by jazz, soul and Bossanova.
Her elegant and sophisticated voice has been compared with that of iconic Italian Superstar, Mina who was Carlotta’s mentor in Italy. She has performed all over the world singing in her native Roman and Neapolitan Italian dialects, as well as English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Her captivating and charismatic stage presence engages her audience on an intimate level; so much so you feel as if she is singing just for you. She ranges from Italian classic songs to the elegance of jazz and the romance of Bossanova.
Carlotta has written, produced, and recorded two other studio albums. Her debut album “Respiro” was released in 2010 and “Rome to the Land of Australia” in 2017 available on Apple Music and Spotify.
