Stoked, sucked & stuck in a 1980’s time warp…… fans are loving it!
Dee Minor and the Dischords – one of the most popular & entertaining cult bands to emerge from the cauldron of 80’s Aussie pub music scene – are stuck in a 1980’s Sydney pub rock time warp!!! & the fans are loving it!

The band is back and is frothing to announce a series of 2023 suburban rock and roll shows!

Dee & the original 1982 Dischords lineup will showcase their unique brand of ‘old school’ 80’s guitar driven, postpunk Rock.

“After watching Dee Minor and The Dischords during the 1980’s and seeing this high energy band of musicians perform many times, THEY’RE BACK. I was fortunate to be able to witness & photograph their return to the stage at the Annandale Hotel in Sydney, and they hadn’t lost their appeal one bit, even after 35 years, these guys play and deliver a simply brilliant show” – ABC National Radio

Dee and the boys will hit the road, back to where it all began 35 years ago, playing pubs and clubs showcasing their recent EP Psycho Ward. The band are part of the real resurgence of ‘old skool’ acts filling rooms with authentic “Aussie Pub Rock”. Dee Minor & the band guarantee a theatrical show unlike another, demonstrating why 80’s Pub Rock saw pubs overflowing with die-hard fans.

Dee Minor and the Dischords have delivered Raw Energy to the stage of Australian Pubs and Clubs since 1978. Heavy touring around the country in the early 80′s (with Midnight Oil, Radiators, Cold Chisel, The Angels, Mi Sex, Swanee, Choirboys, Divinyls, INXS, Matt Finish, Mental As Anything, Ice House, Rose Tattoo and others), they brought a totally unique brand of entertainment to the Australian pub scenealong with the release of their first EP in 1982 through RCA Records.

Based in Sydney and headlining their own packed shows from 1981 to 1987, Dee Minor and the
Dischords ripped up stages with their wild brand of surf inspired punk rock and live on stage energy!
After returning to the stage from a ten-year absence they fired back in “The Boys Are Back In Town” shows from 1997 – 1999 and have continued to this day to fire up audiences with no nonsense, working class rock & roll.

Arrebato

Click for Arrebato Bio
Arrebato Ensemble is contemporary flamenco with edge. Led by acclaimed flamenco guitarist Greg Alfonzetti and Damian de Boos-Smith (cello and guitar), the long-time collaborators are joined by Byron Mark (cajon, percussion and piano), and dancer Chachy Peñalver, founder and director of The Sydney Flamenco Studio. This new lineup creates passionately moving performances combining incisive ensemble playing, masterful solos and the beauty and power of flamenco dance.
Their most recent album ‘Sofia’s Dream’ was released at the end of 2018 with a memorable launch at the City Recital Hall. They then went on to tour all around Australia in 2019 to numerous regional and coastal venues. Arrebato are now currently working on composing new repertoire as they continue to explore their passion for flamenco with a contemporary twist.
The group’s first album snared them the Best World Music Artist at the MusicOz Awards. And performances at WOMADAdelaide, Sydney Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival, Sydney Opera House, International Australian Festival of Chamber Music, followed.
The second CD  Absolución, was launched at the Sydney Opera House in 2011 to a sell out audience and also enjoyed rave reviews.
The group’s previous albums drew critical acclaim with John Shand describing that while their music  “moves from pure flamenco in favour of a more contemporary style, the spirit, a dramatic, sexually charged and haughty sadness, remains intact.” (SMH).
