Jordan Thomas and band have their own style, with refreshing authenticity, born from a deep appreciation of the golden age of western popular music. From cocktail lounge cool, to rug cutting chaos, the Jordan Thomas band are at home in any setting that calls for a touch of class with an exciting edge
It’s “social music” – Eamon Dilworth’s Crawfish Po’Boys brings people together from young & old. Inspired by the musical melting pot of the music of New Orleans the shows are all about breaking down the fourth wall and inviting the audience to participate both in song & dance.
There’s hints of blues, jazz & soul with the odd tip of the hat to Dr John & Preservation hall. Really, it’s an all inclusive affair bound to leave you smiling a little bigger than when you walked in.
Dilworth is well-known as a formidable trumpeter and built his career as a performer, recording artist and arranger of music in a multitude of other genres. He has extensively toured with Ed Kuepper/The Aints, Tijuana cartel, Caravana Sun & Hot Potato Band as well as performed with Ásgeir, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Nigel Kennedy among others.
Alice Terry is a singer, guitarist, pianist, songwriter, comedienne and an all-round good time.
Now in her 20th year as a professional musician, she has toured Australia and internationally and is nicknamed ‘Sydney’s First Lady of Blues’.
Starting in her teens with band the Blue Meenies, she began touring the blues festival circuit and holding her own with vocal veterans. From there she developed as a songwriter, releasing her debut album ‘The Fear of..’ and her first single ‘Emotion’ going to number 1 on the iTunes blues chart.
On stage Terry is witty and engaging. Her huge vocal range spans from the depth of an Alison Moyet all the way to the etheriality of Katie Noonan. She’s used this powerful instrument to perform alongside and support some incredible musicians, like Allen Stone, Matt Corby, The Waifs, St Paul & the Broken Bones, Thirsty Merc, James Morrison, Beth Hart and many more.
“The Real Deal” – Beth Hart
“Her songs are emotional without being cloying, and pair equal measures regret and lament, with cheek and sass. If the swoops and croons are anything to go by, Terry is a singer equally comfortable howling at the moon for the hell of it as she is walking the line of soul-wrenching honesty.” – The Music<
