Jeremy Gregory trio

The Morrisons

Jamie Lindsay

Born in Durban, South Africa, Jeremy’s introduction to the diverse world of contemporary music didn’t begin until his early teens. With nothing but heavy gospel influence in his house he started listening to bands like Boys II Men and Jodeci. He realised that pop music could also be really passionate and that opened a lot of doors. Jeremy soon discovered Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Sly & the Family Stone and many other great soul, urban blues, R&B and pop artists dating all the way back to the 50’s. With powerhouse vocals paired with impeccable stage presence, Jeremy Gregory is a born entertainer and has the ability to captivate audiences from the first note on.
“The Morrisons play big band folk, like a mash up of both Inside Llewyn Davies and Oh Brother Where Art Thou’s T-Bone Burnett” – Concrete Playground. “An incredible bluegrass/country/folk 7 piece” – AU Review. “The Morrisons prove that Sydney bands can pick with the best of the them” – Timber & Steel. Sydney’s bluegrass darlings The Morrisons tell Australian stories steeped in the sound of folk and old-time music. The 7- piece band have supported the likes of Sierra Ferrell (US), Nathanial Rateliff & The Nightsweats (US), Marlon Williams (NZ), Kitty, Daisy & Lewis (US), and Lake Street Dive (US), received a Golden Guitar nomination and won an Australian Songwriters Award.
