Kate Lush brings her most exuberant and outstanding work to date. It’s where modern blues & soul meets vintage groove. Think blistering horns with a super tight rhythm section, swampy Hammond grooves and powerhouse vocals.
Her albums have won numerous international songwriting awards as well as receiving an honorable mention in the U.S. Blues Blast Awards, they have also charted alongside the likes of Norah Jones, Tedeschi Trucks, Samantha Fish, Taj Mahal & Robert Cray.
Fronted by the fabulous Kate Lush, HIPNOLA’s the lineup features Dave Bell on tenor saxophone and John Pennings on trumpet. Dave Plenty is on drums, Illya Szwec on Guitar, Darryl Walker on Bass & backing vocals & Wes Harder on Hammond keyboards & backing vocals.
“Like Dave Hole & Fiona Boyes before her, it won’t be long before Kate Lush becomes a household name among blues lovers in the U.S.” — Blues Blast Magazine (U.S.)
