When and Who’s Playing?
The Fig operates on the last Friday of each month. There are 3 acts of varying genres – starting with an acoustic act and building to higher energy bands/ensembles.  See Home page for Upcoming Shows & Past Shows for past events.
Time: Music starts 7.30pm sharp. Ends 10.30pm.
– Doors open by 6.30pm for food, drinks; table seating.
– Best arrive early to settle in; earlier if buying the superb value & tasting Mexican dishes. (See Food for the venue.)

Tickets: $20. PAY cash only at door on the night. 

Note: Listening Venue – no talking during performances, so you hear music at its best. There are 2x20min breaks for catching up with friends.

Drink: Drinks can be purchased from bar before show and during breaks at club prices. Strictly no BYO.

  • We provide a reservation service. You can either:
    1. (Preferably) send an email to info@theManlyFig.org disclosing your name, the date of the event and the number of seats to reserve.
      – We will confirm your booking by return email. If you don’t receive a confirmation then we haven’t received your email. OR
    2. Phone The Fig on 9905 7215. If you get our answer-phone, leave your number and msg, and we’ll call you back. Don’t assume that we have received your message.
  • There are sometimes a small number of tickets for sale at the door to replace people who booked but cancelled at the last minute.
  • Each person pays (cash only) on entry. The table allocations are displayed at the entrance so you can determine where you are seated.  Note: The Fig is volunteer run.

Where:

There are 2 venues. During most of the year (March-Nov), the Fig runs at the Seaforth Bowling Club. In hotter months, we enjoy the cooler air conditioning of the Balgowlah RSL, Seaforth (Jan-Feb). 

A. (March-Nov) at the Seaforth Bowling Club, 39 Kirkwood St, Seaforth NSW 2092.

    • Parking – huge off-street carpark
    • Nearby buses – 141 & 172X

Seaforth Bowling Club FOOD, BYO OR Mexican:

Mexican take away can be purchased from 6:20 to 7:30pm only. Snacks also at bar. BYO food allowed. 

      • The serving counter/bar-b-que will be sited outside the side door of the showroom, accessible after you locate your table.  It is served on paper plates with take-away cutlery.
      • Menu (Cash only)
        a. Chilli Con Carne nachos – freshly cooked corn tortilla chips, salsa, cheddar cheese sauce, pickled jalapenos. $12
        b. Vegetarian nachos – freshly cooked corn tortilla chips, black beans, cheddar cheese sauce, pickled jalapenos, salsa. $10
        c. Chicken quesadilla – cheese & citrus/achiote shredded chicken, choice homemade salsa $12
        d. Cheese quesadilla – cheese filled large flour tortilla, choice homemade salsa $7

B. (Jan-Feb only), at the Seaforth Room, Balgowlah RSL, 30-38 Ethel St, Seaforth  

    • Parking – at the club, or nearby across from the roundabout
    • Nearby buses – 141, 144 & 173X

Balgowlah RSL FOOD:

There are a number of food options & bars available on site. They are, in increasing expense –
Gold bar – 10 wings for $10
The Bistro (can book)
The Wine Room (should book)

We strongly advise that you get there early to eat as there can be queues when our crowd is added to their usual guests. You can take meals bought on site into the show room.  No BYO food or drink is allowed.
